WRHS Drama

A proud alum of Wiregrass Ranch High School, Alexa is in her third year teaching and truly hopes you enjoy this magical production our beloved Theatre Department has put together. This is her her fifth show she's directed here at WRHS, and eleventh overall here at the Ranch. This production is dedicated to those who hold their curiosity and childlike dreams close to their hearts, and to those who allow  everywhere they go to become their own piece of Wonderland.

Kiki is a born and raised Floridian wrapping up her junior year of high school. She originally joined theatre as a way to come out of her shell, but soon found what a great way to make friends it is. No matter the size of the role, she’s happy to be a part of such a amazing program with wonderful people. And the creativity it takes has been so beneficial for her work-in-progress book. Enjoy the show!

This is Carlos’ fourth production, and he’s thrilled to be in Alice in Wonderland! A passionate performer, he’s loves being part of the theatre world and bringing quirky characters to life. Outside of the spotlight, you’ll usually find him strumming his guitar, gaming with friends, or catching up on some very important sleep. He’s grateful to the cast, crew, and directors for making this show such a blast!

John has been in theatre for around 4 years now. He loves acting and doing so with friends. So far, his favorite role was playing Rock Diamond in night beat, starring rock diamond. He is very grateful for all the opportunities he gets to act, just like this one. He also really loves his cat, Walter, and wants to thank him for getting him to where he is now.

Kyara is excited to be in Alice. Her role as the Gardener has been so much fun and she’s had so much fun making new friends! Kyara is excited to continue doing theatre throughout highschool.

I’m so glad to be apart of something so amazing. I applaud everyone in the play and all the hard working hands behind stage. Everyone has worked so hard in this production and i give thanks to ms. sheppard for bringing this production to life!

Lilyanne is a senior and has been involved in theater since sophomore year. She has been an artist since she could hold a pencil and is thrilled to be directing such a large play. She is so proud of her actors and technical workers and hopes you all enjoy the show!

Julimary is a junior who wants to continue being involved in theatre and making friends through it! Being able to play a part in the production means a lot to them, they're thankful for it and determined to do it right. In their free time, they like to play games, draw, listen to music, watch shows/movies, and write. Remember to have fun and enjoy the show!

​Annelis is in 11th grade, and is apart of her first production, where she works as Publicity. This new role is something she enjoys very much and is proud to say she is in this amazing production! This role has meant a lot as she became apart of something new and was able to contribute to this amazing group. When she’s free, she enjoys listening to music, reading, playing video games, and painting. She also loves learning new ways to do her hair and styling clothes. She loved doing this and hopes she can be apart of next year’s show!

Avery is a freshman who previously worked on our Dinner Theatre Double Feature and our Seasons of Love Musical Revue.

Audrey is a junior who was previously featured in Once Upon a Mattress and our Musical Revue in February.

Jordyn Edwards is a lifelong artist who found a new passion for the technical side of theatre while working on Alice in Wonderland. This show gave her the opportunity to explore set design and digital tools while still tapping into her creative side. Outside of theatre, Jordyn enjoys reading hero comics and sketching original characters inspired by them. She has always loved storytelling in all forms, whether it’s through art, writing, or performance. Jordyn is grateful for the support of her family and friends and is excited to keep growing as both an artist and a collaborator. Enjoy the show!

Matilda is in her 2nd year of theater she’s worked backstage in every production! She loves ASL and plans to interpret next year. She’ll miss her backstage family but ASL is her calling. Matilda is a huge fan of music, crochet, and reading! She is a proud Australian! Matilda wanted to thank her Mum & Dad, Mrs.Duchesne, Chrisy and family, as well as her closest friends McCartney, Violet, Sai, and Jocelyn who mean the world to her! And her new friends from the cast/crew like Aayat, Alana, Sarah, Gauge, Joel, and Courtney who have been so kind to her!

Grace is a senior, she’s been doing theater since the 8th grade and is so excited for her final production! She enjoys improv, playing games, hanging out with her dogs, and spending time with friends. She’s really excited to make this last play count!

Elliot is a junior looking forward to his 3rd year in tech! Elliot has always loved theater and ever since starting high school, he’s been so thrilled to work on these productions. While being a techie has been fun, acting has always been his goal to get out of his shell. Maybe one day he’ll be on stage instead of behind it!

Alanis is a Freshman at the Wiregrass Ranch High-school. She joined theatre wanting to bring people together by sharing creativity, ideas, and skills, she also joined wanting to find people who have the same passion as her in the arts. She believes that people who are creative have a different way of expressing themselves in a way that is both unique and powerful. Through theatre, she hopes to grow as a person, support others, and be apart of a team that values imagination and self-expression.

Nailah is in 11th grade and is excited to be involved in this production based off one of her favorite story! This role has really meant a lot to her because she never knew how much fun working backstage as a stagehand could be. She has met so many different people in the cast and crew as well and is grateful for the opportunity to be apart of the production.

Kassie Lopez , is a 11th grader at Wiregrass Ranch High School, she has been in the school since her freshman year. Being born in Florida and had lived in New York City, as the youngest child. Kassie has been in theatre a year and was ASM for “Alice in Wonderland”as well as the Wiregrass ranch High school “Seasons of Love musical.” She loves this job because she had a chance to make new friendships that can last a life time. Other than theater Kassie has plenty dreams and aspirations. She wants to go to USF and become a Nurse Practitioner, because of her Passion to help people. She also has a passion in music production and loves to write lyrics. Kassie is also an activist for mental health as she believes it is important to raise awareness about it. Kassie is really excited about this play and knows it will be the best one yet! She hopes to be the Assistant stage manager for next year production as well. Enjoy the show and remember that “everyone is born weird and that’s okay!”

Anneliese is excited to be returning to the stage as apart of the cast in Alice in Wonderland. She has previously performed in another production and continues to enjoy exploring different characters and stories through theatre. When she’s not on stage, Anneliese loves creating art, singing, and spending time with animals, and she’ll never say no to a good nap. Being part of this cast has been a fun and rewarding experience, and she’s grateful for all the memories made. Anneliese would like to thank her family and friends for their constant love and support.

Avery is in 11th grade and is so happy to be helping this amazing production, she has been helping her troupe out since last year and is so excited to see what comes next! She has made such great friends with all the people in this cast and crew and she is so grateful for it. Avery also enjoys to play video games, draw, and loves to hang out with her friends and boyfriend. She thanks her family and friends who have given her support and love through these past productions, and she hopes to be in the next production in her senior year and is so excited about it! Thank you all for everything enjoy the production a lot of hard work has been put into it :)

Sai is in 12th grade and can’t wait to see the theatre filled with people to see him and all his cast mates on stage. This is the second and last big wiregrass theatre production and he’s ecstatic. Sai is in choir and enjoys playing games and drawing. Sai wants to thank his mom and his friends for all the support and love. Enjoy the show and have a wonderful time!

Aayat is eccentric to be debuting in her first production at WRHS! She is a freshman and is elated to be back on stage after 7 years. She can’t wait to perform in more shows in the upcoming years! Aayat is thankful for her parents’ immense support, brother’s enthusiasm, friends’ love, and everyone who has come to enjoy the show. Aayat also gives lots of love to the seniors in this show (I’ll miss you all so much!). She gives a special thanks to Ms. Sheppard, the tech team, and the rest of her cast for being awesome. GO BULLS!!

This is Radha's first big school production. She is a freshman and tried out theatre for the first time this year. Since starting she has grown and improved a lot. She has worked as an assistant stage manager and sound operator throughout the productions this year. She has also made so many new friends who she has had a great time with in this production. She looks forward to future productions.

Raksmey, a junior who joined the Wiregrass theatre program as a stagehand for the first two years of her high-school career, is thrilled to finally step onto the stage and perform as a character in a play for the first time. Being apart of this play not only lets her be apart of the loving theatre community, but it also allows her to finally nurture her quiet love for the art of performance. She is deeply grateful for the hard work of all the cast and crew members who made this production possible, and hopes the audiences loves the show as much as she does!

Autumn Rae Estes is an 11th grader who has always had a great love for theatre. She very much enjoys attending any and all performances as the actor, off stage, or simply as a spectator. Acting and singing is so much fun and this production has been no exception, as it's just as, if not more wonderful than previous plays and / or acts. She definitely recommends trying it out, just for fun, or getting into some plays and musicals in one's free time. :)

Alana is a freshman who has some background in theatre. She is ready to embrace new activities with the new cast and the new crew. She's a fan of almost all music. Her mom, dad, sister, and grandma have been there every step of the way from when she first started theatre. She has also been part of the musical theatre Broadway bulls musical revue. She also participated in thespys and improv troupe!!

Leila is in 9th grade and is very excited to be involved in her first production! This show really showed her true colors and meant a lot to her because she never knew how fun acting would be. She has met so many new friends throughout this play. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends, playing volleyball, and shopping! Leila thanks all of her friends for always being supportive to her throughout this production. Enjoy the show!

​First and foremost, Natalie Acosta would like to thank God for blessing her with the chance to act in her third high school production in her third year! She also would like to thank her mom and dad for always encouraging her and helping make her biggest dreams come true while shouting a huge ‘I love you’ to her jock of a little brother who always comes to every event. After the show she will most likely do like her good friend, the Dormouse (Journey), and take a long nap!

Brielle is a senior this year at WRHS This is one of many of her acting roles however it’s her first at Wiregrass! Brielle has thoroughly enjoyed all her theatre experiences and all the friends she’s made along the way!!!

Genevieve Steward is in 11th grade and is excited to start painting those roses red! This role has been exciting to characterize and change into their own. The cast and crew has honestly been so fun to work with. In their own time when they are not tending to the flower children, they’re always with a good book. Genevieve wants to thank their mom and mom mom for the continuous support throughout their theater school life. Stay a little kookie and enjoy this fantabulous show!

Phoebe is a senior and is proud to be performing with the WRHS Theater department for the last time. She has always had a passion for drama and other performing arts and is happy she got to pursue this passion throughout high school. Phoebe has also appeared in shows such as Into the Woods, Godspell, Steel Magnolias, The Lightning Thief, Rent, and Once Upon a Mattress. She would like to thank her friends and family for always cheering her on from the audience and for showing up to her countless performances.

Alessandra is a junior who has always been interested in makeup and hair. She enjoys cosplaying and doing unique makeup looks. Alessandra has been with theater all 3 years of high school and participated in all 3 plays working on the makeup and hair crew. Enjoy the show!

Courtney Werth is a senior and will be attending UCF. She's been in theater all four years of high school and been a thespian for three years. She loves that Alice in Wonderland is her senior year play as it is one of her favorite stories. She plans on becoming a digital animator in the future and is hoping to work for Universal or Disney.

Madeline Wright is a
Sophomore. At home, she loves to bake, spend time with her family, and play video games. She’s also an avid reader who completes no less than two novels per week and has an appreciation for fantasy, drama, and post-apocalyptic themes while also being fascinated by true stories and historical accounts of World War II. Madeline would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her endeavors. Finally, I would like to thank my amazing father for writing this amazing puff piece about me.

Brie is a freelance designer and artist. Her love for theater began in high school many moons ago. Brie's comfort zone is backstage working with scenic design, props, and stage managing, but she jumps on stage every now and then. Upcoming she can be seen in Carrollwood Players production of 9-5 The Musical as Missy Hart. Professionally, Brie has worked as an educator, User Experience, Graphic, and Service Designer. While earning her MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, she collaborated on projects with companies like Deloitte, Google, Facebook, and Amazon. This production has been a labor of love, helping make her little sister, Miss Sheppard's dreams come true.

Nemo is a sophomore, and is super excited to be apart of something bigger than herself. She dedicates her maddening performance to her family; her hardworking mother, her amazing dad, her annoying but wonderful sisters, and her adorable cat and dog! Love you guys!!! Remember: everyone’s a bit mad here!!

Gabby is a freshman who likes to draw, excited for the performance. Gabby is happy for the audience to see the performance, seeing how everything has pieced together behind the scenes for the very first time. She enjoys collaborating with the other members of the show who make it possible for the production to be provided for all to see!

Jocelyn is a sophomore here at WRHS, and cannot wait to be involved in this year’s performance! She has previously performed in John Long middle schools production of “Law and Order: Fairytale Unit”, and this will be her first involvement in a production by Wiregrass Ranch. She would like to thank her family for helping her rehearse her lines and showing lots of love and support for her role!

Brock is a junior who hopes to do work in game design once he graduates. Having passed his Eagle board of review in January, he’s awaiting national certification for his rank of Eagle Scout before he can do an Eagle Court of honor (maybe he will be certified by the time this play happens :D). Having loved acting since a young age, Brock has participated in several school plays and has participated in junior and high school thespians. Special thanks go from Brock to his family for loving him and supporting him.

Riley is a freshman who has always loved being on a stage. Ever since she took her first theatre class in 7th grade, she has continued to pursue her love of acting. She is very grateful to be a flower girl alongside her best friend, who is also a flower girl. Riley was so excited when she discovered her first high school play would be Alice in Wonderland, considering she loves those movies. Riley is incredibly grateful for her supportive family, and her mom, who has always been rooting for her.

Joel is a junior and inducted Thespian who played the March Hare.

Ava is a sophomore originally from New York City. Despite having extensive experience with makeup and school plays, this is both her first year as a Wiregrass Ranch student and as a makeup artist in a theater production. She is naturally very shy, but being in her element has encouraged her to open up and make friends with similar interests. Other than practicing makeup looks, she thoroughly enjoys reading, poetry, and video games. Ava wants to thank Ms. Sheppard for being a great teacher, and her best friend who motivated her to join the crew!

Evangeline is a sophomore playing solider 2. This is her first time acting in 5 years and is excited to be here. She had a lot of fun with this role and hopes you enjoy the production.

Justin Diaz, is a Senior. He’s is 17 and about to turn 18 in May. Justin enjoys being with friends, reading all kinds of books, gaming and a whole lot more! Justin reflects back to years prior, and is still mind blown. everything as he knows it is going to change and he just can’t wait! Justin wishes you the best in the world and he hopes you’ll become inspired, laugh a little, maybe cry a little too, but most importantly for the last time in high school. Enjoy the show!

Journey is a junior in high school who was finally pressured into trying out for the school play (thank you, Natalie) and is ecstatic about it. They had no idea theater was this fun. When they're not sleeping through rehearsal, they're reading, writing, drawing, and pondering the meaning of life while staring listlessly into space. Dzadek has really appreciated getting to find their voice and put themself out there through this production. They hope you enjoy the show :)

Abby Fisher is a senior who decided to join her first production after considering it for a couple of years, both as an actor and a makeup artist. She's super excited to be working on Alice in Wonderland with all of her friends and classmates this year! Using her hair and makeup experience from approximately 9 years of cosplaying, Abby is so psyched to help bring the whimsy of Alice's adventures to life on the stage, both in tech and in acting!

The time that I have spent during this play has been truly incredible. I’m so grateful that I was able to participate in this performance. Everyone has been so amazing and determined to make everything perfect in the production. I applaud everyone in this play, and thank you Ms. Shepard for your hard work.

Sarah is a senior who has been participating in theatre all four years. Sarah is wanting to progress in theatre for college. Sarah has been encouraged by family and friends to continue their passion in the arts.

Jacob is a sophomore and he is so excited to finally act in a play! He has wanted to act in a play for years and he can’t wait to act in more! In his free time he likes to play "My Singing Monsters and he likes to watch "Object shows"! He hopes you enjoy the show and remember, always have a sunny side up day! :]

Kaylee is a sophomore here at WRHS, this is her second production here and she is ecstatic about this years show. She has enjoyed being around all of her friends, and making new ones along the way. Kaylee wants to thank all of her friends and family that have been so supportive throughout the entire show. Enjoy the show, and don't forget to watch out for rabbit holes!

Kaylan is a Freshman who participated in this show as a techie! Kaylan has a strong passion for art and creativity in every aspect. This is Kaylan’s second time being apart of a production but it’s her first time being in tech! Her role in tech means a lot to her because she has dreams of pursuing fashion, makeup, and art. Working in the play has been such a pleasure for Kaylan because it encourages honesty, creativity, and communication which are very important skills you will need to have in the future. Kaylan would like to thank the makeup team and Mrs. Sheppard for welcoming her into the theater community with open arms!

Amarah is a junior at Wiregrass Ranch and this is her third year participating in the school’s production of plays. She has worked backstage as a stage hand since her freshmen year and will continue to through her senior year.

Lilly is a sophomore in highschool who joined theater because of a friend asking and fell in love with it. Shes made so many friends in theater and is really happy in it.

Catherine Medina is a Senior who decided to push herself out of her comfort zone by trying out for this show as the Bandersnatch in the Jabberwocky poem and has found great pleasure in participating.Catherine enjoys playing Dungeons and dragons, reading, drawing, videogames, and seeing friends in her free time. Catherine has enjoyed spending her last year growing in theatre and meeting amazing people in the process. Additionally thanks the support of her family and friends for this opportunity!

Maria have 16 and , she born in Brazil and move to US in 2023 is a girl creative and sweet. She loves read fantasy and romance books, she likes to watch F1 and soccer games with her dad.

​This is Caroline she is an freshmen. She love theater, has been in theater since 6th grade she also loves taking photos she even participated in the FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) state leadership conference this April, she competed in artistic reflection Photography in color, got an silver metal. They also love dogs, she has four dogs, two of which is her family’s pets and two that is her neighbors her family watch her neighbors dogs quit lot when they have all four dogs let us just say it is an little chaotic. She also love doing makeup especially special effects makeup.

Ivanna, a junior originally from Caracas, Venezuela is thrilled to be a part of this production as a stagehand. This marks her return to theater after loving her experience working backstage in a middle school production! She thanks all the friends and family who have come to support the show, and hopes you enjoy it as much as she has enjoyed being a part of it!

Samantha is a senior, who loves all things Nature, art, and fashion. After appreciating the arts since she was a child, she decided to try costuming for Wiregrass’s theater productions before graduating, and she absolutely loves it! Seeing the characters come to life through the actor’s talents and skills, dressed in the costumes that Samantha and the other incredible costumers put together, really brings a sense of fulfillment to her, that she is grateful to have experienced.

Susan R. brings happiness in the short time she's on stage. Susan showed to be determined as she sat through everything during rehearsals, even the ones she wasn't called for! Susan always wished to be on the stage now this is her chance! Just enjoy the show and relax.

Giannaly is a sophomore who is a lover of music theater. She was given the position of sound lead despite it being her first time doing sound. She has a lot of fun in the technical and hopes for more opportunities in her 3rd and 4th year.

Madalyn Saulsbury is a freshman in publicity who wanted to hold out a hand and help the cast. She is honored to be a part of Alice and Wonderland tech and can’t wait to see the actors break a leg. She thanks everyone for their time in making this production come to life and wishes everyone on the stage the best of luck.

Chloe who plays “The Hero” in the Jabberwocky poem, heavily enjoys being in theatre, this being her second play in highschool. She felt very inspired by her friends to join the play again. Chloe loves the book Alice and Wonderland and is thrilled to be in the play and performing!

Talia is in 11th grade and is so excited about this unique production! This role has been fun to put her own spin on. It has been an extraordinary experience to be able to interact with this cast. Talia would love to thank her parents for their continuous support! She wishes everyone enjoys this wondrous show!

John Sweeney is an 11th grader who somehow found himself stage managing an entire play. Joining theatre in 2023, John joined theatre class to get a break from running track and doing hard calculus problems. Now, he finds himself ruling the school play with an iron fist. First starting off as an assistant stage manager, John climbed the corporate ladder and learned the ropes of leadership, soon becoming the notable stage manager himself. He thanks his canine companion, Jake, for always believing in him and giving him words of encouragement.

​Manu is a 10th grader from Brazil who came to the United States when she was 13 years old. She enjoys reading fantasy and romance books, as well as watching movies and very specific TV shows (like Arcane, B99, and Invincible). She loves wearing colorful bracelets that she buys at the beach and her Converse that surprisingly never gets dirty. She likes musicals, "The Phantom Of The Opera" being her favorite, and would like to someday work with something related to cinema/storytelling. Her friends describe her as an empath and funny, especially when she laughs at inappropriate moments. She feels thrilled to be part of a WRHS play for a second time, and hopes to enjoy this ride as much as possible!

Ryleigh is a freshman who is excited for her third role in a play and her first in high school! This play has been really fun for her to display, as she gets to run around and laugh with the other soldiers. In any free time she has, Ryleigh likes to be on the volleyball court, at the beach, or hanging with her family and friends. She would like to thank her family for the support and her sister from another mister Courtney for all the rides….it’s showtime!

Kailey is a freshman and is so excited to do her first high school production. She has really enjoyed being in this play with her friends and older sister. Kailey would like to thank her mom and dad for always being there to support her no matter what. And she would like to give a shout out to her sister Courtney for all of the rides and shopping trips and is so happy that she gets to join her for her final performance at Wiregrass. She hopes that you all enjoy the show and have a few laughs.

Aubrey is a senior and has been participating in Theater for the past four years. She did costumes for Clue freshman year, Participated in a Duet for Crazy eights sophomore year, took Theater as a class Junior year, then decided to finish her senior by both participating in the play as an actor, but also working on the costume team. She has also been a long time Thespians member, starting costume design for Thespians in 7th grade, all the way to her senior year. She has managed to get a superior in District Thespians four times, albeit one of those time being a disqualification, and has also gotten 2 superiors in States junior and senior year, and one excellent Freshman year.

Theater has been a big part of Aubrey's highschool experience, and allowed her to discover her love for fashion and costume design, as well as acting and comedy. Theater helped Aubrey to meet new people, become more outgoing, and discover something that she loves to do. She will miss all the friends she has made in Theater, and her amazing Theater teacher Mrs. Sheppard who has been one of the main reasons she decided to continue with Theater. (She would like to thank her Mom for always being nothing but supportive in Everything she does, and once again to Mrs. Sheppard for making me feel welcomed and confident in what I do as an actor, designer, and person.)
