John Sallustio PW Headshot_edited.jpg

John Sallustio

Author - A Little Ditty About Jacques & Diane

John is a local, self-proclaimed SAP – a person who has won awards as a Stand-up comedian, Actor, and Playwright. Luckily for this bio, he is also comfortable speaking about himself in the third person singular format. He has performed in over thirty productions, from Shakespeare (Petrucchio in “The Taming of the Shrew”) to farce (“Lloyd in “Noises Off”). Other productions include “Don’t Dress For Dinner”, “Love, Lies, and the Doctor’s Dilemma” (Favorite Actor in a Comedy award), and “Blithe Spirit”. John was around twelve years old when he discovered two important facts that changed his life; laughter is universal, and, people can’t laugh and think about their problems at the same time. Since then, he has tried to give people a break from whatever stress they are going through by trying to make them laugh, even if only for a minute. I sincerely hope that my play, “A Little Ditty About Jacques and Diane” brought you some joy and laughter. If he were here (and he just might be) John would like to thank each and every one of you for coming out and supporting the wonderfully gifted students who have put on this terrific show, as well as for supporting live, local theater. It is a treat to be watching future stars learning and honing their craft.
